All of the view_item_list events has 5 items no matter which collection/product category that is. There should be all items showing up in list or collection in the page (CDP or homepage or anywhere having a list of products).
I reviewed the data pushed on website using Analytics debugger, the collection or CDP on Native theme (Dawn), which have 13 items on the page but the items listed under the event only contains 5 items.
We have to limit the number of items in the collection or else GA4 will block the API request. It’s a limitation of GA4.
Thanks for your quick support. So does this limitation have any effect on tracking? I’m afraid that the data of view item list will not be accurate.
Also, I need to know whether this limitation is due to GA or Shopify. Is there any way to increase the limit?
@mfateamhuyen_shopify unfortunately there’s nothing we can do to increase the limit. It’s a decision the GA4 team made and it makes view items list events hard/impossible to track with more than 5 items.
