Any idea Kevin? I cant’ figure out why GA4 is still not counting conversion ) but only event ((begin checkout, add payment info etc.). User data collection is not enabled.
For old property that I didn’t enable user data collection, it’s showing conversion for iniziate checkout, add_contact_info, add_payment_info, add_shipping_info but only event. Purchase and add to cart are ok.
I have the same problem since 12th March 2024. I have not enabled Data Collection and Google Signals is turned off. As far as I’m aware there’s been no updates to GA4 settings at all. This is mission critical for us, so I’m now considering ditching SliderRule Analytics.
Tracked a purchase in real-time in GA4. So, the fix works. Not only do you need to avoid consenting to user-provided data as described in the official update, but ALSO turn off user-provided data in your GA4 Data Stream (this is reversible).
In GA4 navigation to Admin > Data Collection & Modification > Data Streams > (Click on Your Stream) > Configure Tag Settings > Allow user-provided data capabilities > Turn off as below.
Thank you, I’ll let you know because I can’t count conversions for iniziate checkout, add_contact_info, add_payment_info, add_shipping_info but only events. Purchase are correctly tracked with value.
