I’ve been slowing getting Google Analytics up and running for the Shopify store run by the company I work for. Today my boss pointed out some discrepancies between the total sales reported by Shopify and GA. I had a pretty strong suspicion that this was down to a refunded order, and a cancelled order, which turned out to be correct. See the example below:
What I would like to know is if there is any way to set up the SlideRule Analytics Shopify app to handle cancelled or refunded orders? Or would I need to manually import data into our GA4 property to correct the totals reported?
@vorsprungdev are you using SlideRule Analytics to send the data to GA4? If so, I would expect the refunded amount to be correct. Although surfacing it in reporting is a little wonky. Let me know and I’'ll make a video
We are using SRA to send the data to GA4. All the purchase events are pushing through correctly, but I couldn’t find anything that looked like a refund. If there’s a way to pull that up in the reports I’d be interested to know about it!
